SHOTS IN ACTION.......1986-7

This must rate as the most successful season in the clubs history, gaining promotion to Division Three for only the second time via the newly introduced Play-Off games. The cups saw much drama too, reaching the FA Cup Fourth Round going out in a replay to Barnsley after thrashing First Division Oxford United at the Rec, and getting to the Southern Final in the Freight Rover Trophy.
